Judgment

This is a topic that Christians really need to get an understanding into the depth of this teaching. It will then take you from fear to life. Take rest in this; (Hebrews 9:28, Amp) "Even so it is that Christ having been offered to take upon Himself and bear as a burden the sins of many once and once for all, will appear a second time, not to carry any burden of sin nor to deal with sin, but to bring to full salvation those who are waiting for and expecting Him." That alone should set you free from the fear of having your sins judge you. You have already been judged righteous! You will never be any more righteous than you are right now. Abraham believed and it was accounted to him for righteousness. It shall be imputed to us who believe in Him who raised Jesus our Lord from the dead. That's how we become righteous; we believe in Jesus and His resurrection power. Simple isn't it?

There are two final judgments- the white throne judgment and the judgment seat of Christ. Let's look at the judgment seat of Christ first. You don't want to lose the things you have worked for but you want to receive a full reward. This is further revealed in 2 Cor 5:10, "For we all must appear and be revealed as we are before the judgment seat of Christ, so that each one may receive his pay according to what he has done in the body, whether good or evil, considering what his purpose and motive have been, and what he has achieved, been busy with and given himself and his attention to accomplishing." Dear friend, God has rewards for the good works that we perform. One's works will become clear because they will be revealed and tested by fire. Our God is a consuming fire! Think of it as you stand before Him you will be in fire. That fire will burn away the works that do not please Him. If your works endure, you will then receive a reward. If not, you will suffer loss, but still will be saved. That's it! Your sins are not going to flash before you on a screen for everyone to see and judge. The only thing that can stand in His presence is someone who is righteous and cleansed of improper works according to the flesh. That's why when you stand there the fire will destroy those things instantly in His presence.

The white throne judgment is a place where we will never go! Hallelujah! It is a place where the dead shall stand before Him. The books are opened and the Book of Life will be opened. They then are judged according to their works by the things written in the books. Anyone who is not written in the Book of Life shall be cast into the lake of fire. They shall receive the penalties of their works that are recorded in the other two books.

I am so glad that He is not coming back to review our sins but to bring us into full salvation. Are you a doer of the word? Do you have the right motives? If so, you are going to really love standing before Him. It is going to be great! Think of standing in front of your earthly parents and telling them you just got straight A' s in school. They will be rejoicing with you. Why, because you have shown yourself to be faithful. Just think of Him as he says, "Enter in my good and faithful servant."
