Jeannie Ray’s Testimony

I have gone through many sufferings and trials in my life, so much that it can be written in a book.  This is just a summary of my story.  Through all of my trials, miraculously, I became a born-again spirit-filled Christian.  The manifestation of Jesus Christ and His awesome love came pouring into my heart and my life.

God has blessed me so much by bringing my daughter Lisa back into my life along with her new husband Scott of whom I love very much.  Because of the life of drugs and violence that I was living, my parents legally adopted Lisa.  Sadly enough, my daughter became my sister.  During this time in my life, I was a very angry and vain little girl.  I had some very hard lessons to learn that has formed me into the person that I am now.

I skated as a little girl and I won State Championships in Bakersfield three times and placed second and third at the United States Championships.  I was a Star!  When I was sixteen, we moved from Concord to San Leandro right on the Oakland line.  This is where I became involved in the largest motorcycle gang in the world.  It was the president of this club that I was first introduced to.  I was just one of his many concubines.  This is when my life began to spiral downwards.  As I became more involved with this club, my attitude became unbearable.  I was accepted into this club by the president and the feeling of being accepted into his family, I thought, at that time was wonderful.

As the years went by, I was shot, stabbed, hit by a train, and came so close to drowning it was unbelievable.  I attempted to commit suicide in which my parents were there in the hospital for a week.  When I woke up I was spewing the foulest language a little girl could have ever spoken.  There was one time when I was so loaded from injecting methamphetamines into my veins and drunk with alcohol, I almost drove off a cliff.  I was so out of it, but Jesus and His angles were keeping me from the time He blew breath into my nostrils and gave me my soul.

As my life continued to spiral downwards, I fell deeper and deeper into deception.  I was played for the fool of fools.  My life kept going in this circle, a circle of evil and destruction.

The worst was when this fellow was hired to kill me because of a dope deal that didn’t go down right.  This man who was just let out of prison was paid to do the job. After about two or three weeks the gig was about to go down. Everyone was getting things set up for it to happen.

It was in the evening when this big boy and I had gone over to a friend’s house where there was a small get together for a few members of the club. The man, and I won’t say his name, was six foot five and weighed two hundred and forty pounds.  Every one was getting loaded smoking pot and slamming meth into their veins waiting in anticipation for the fight that was about to go down with the bad boy and myself.

Another member of the club then took me back to the motel that we were staying at.  A little while later, this big boy, showed up.  Let’s just say his name was Blackjack.  He proceeded to beat me up so severely that you couldn’t tell if I was a girl or a boy.  As he was beating on me, a social worker knocked at the door.  She heard me groaning and the men that were with her kicked down the door.  Blackjack took off running.

I was taken to a small hospital in the town.  They didn’t know how to treat me so they had me picked up by MEDI-VAC and flown to Modesto Memorial Hospital. Shortly after that I fell into a coma that lasted three months.  It seemed that I had an aneurism break in my brain and I was supposed to die. After the three months, I awoke from the coma and found myself totally paralyzed on the right side of my body.  I couldn’t talk; walk or even get motivated enough to even try to move.  I know that it was Jesus who let me wake up.  The nurse was so ecstatic when she came into the room that she called my four doctors.  They found it to amazing even to believe.

This June 2007, it will be sixteen years since this happened to me.  Now I can talk, walk and even run very fast.  I am being transformed into a woman who is as good as I was when I was born, even better.  I have been re-born.  You see, two weeks before he beat me up, Blackjack asked me, “Hey Jeanie Ray, do you believe in God or do you believe in the devil?”   I said “God; why?”  Nothing came from his lips.  I believe from that moment on he began to plan how he was going to kill me. But, God also had His plan for me.

How glorious Jesus is.  He saved my life many times.  It has only been by the power of our gracious Lord, our King of Kings whom I love with all my heart, body, soul, and mind.  He’s still working on me and is using me as a vessel for His glorious work!  Jesus has also come into the hearts and lives of my daughter and my son-in-law and we are bound together in His love and the wonderful body of Christ.

Well, I hope that this small testimony helps many of you.  Even if it helps just one person, I will be blessed.  Maybe with the help of God, you can stand up for Jesus, because He is the only way to fly.  Thank you for listening from Jeannie Ray and family.
